At our March meeting, Timothy Walker gave us a wonderfully illustrated talk on ‘Colour in a small garden’. With references to garden design, literature, science, art and photography he guided us through various effects that can be achieved by careful placement of differently coloured and textured plants.

On Monday 9 April, the club is organising a group visit to Evenly Wood Garden (10.30 depart by car-share); please contact me if you would like to join us – £15 to include a guided tour and lunch.

On Saturday 21 April we will hold our annual plant sale at Four Acres, Pond Hill (along from the village shop); proceeds will go to club running-costs and any surplus will be awarded to village good causes at the end of the year.

We are a fortunate club to have such good support from our committee members and we are especially grateful to Bernard Williamson, who has been our treasurer for the past three years but is now moving on.
