Witney Horticultural Society are having a day trip to Ashwood Nurseries and John Massey’ private gardens, Kingswinford, West Midlands on Saturday 13th April, leaving the Cogges carpark, Witney at 08.30hrs.
This garden is occasionally open to the public but this day will be special as we will be having a private guided tour of this 3 acre garden as featured by Carol Klein on Gardener’s World. John has won gold medals at Chelsea for his display stands. The spring garden includes displays of tulips, narcissi, erythroniums, trilliums and snakes head fritillaries and there will be plenty of interest in this beautiful garden.
We will also visit the nursery next door where there will be plenty to tempt you like a ‘gardener’s sweet shop’.
If any Stonesfield Gardening Club members would like to join us, you would be very welcome.
