The weather was almost perfect for Stonesfield Open Gardens on 26 June… dry, sunny but not hot, however it was a bit breezy. This did not deter over 140 people, plus some children, from turning out to enjoy the 9 gardens opened for the afternoon. After walking the gardens (and in some cases before) many visitors took tea and cake at the St James’ Centre which had been beautifully decorated for the occasion. And what a range of cakes were on offer, all kindly made by Gardening Club members.
There was also the opportunity to buy a wide range of homegrown plants from the stall outside St James’ Centre.
Our thanks go to all who baked, grew, served, washed up and opened their gardens. We raised over £1000 which will enable substantial donations to local charities
