On Friday 15 September, Gardening Club members volunteered for a work afternoon at the White Horse. A dozen people spent the afternoon
- clearing ivy and cutting back overgrown vegetation
- bonfiring the cuttings and redundant garden furniture
Everyone went home tired (and a little smokey) but happy with the excellent result. This work means that the garden is now ready for the pop-up opening although there is still a lot more to do.
Further work days are likely in October when we have the Pub Committee’s direction on what they want us to do next. If you want to volunteer then please contact the SGC Secretary.
