On Monday 9 October, Andrew Wood entertained members (and guests) with a talk ‘Bordeaux: A Story From Vine to Wine’.

This was a fascinating tour of Bordeaux history and viniculture accompanied by six wines (details attached). There were lots of questions from a packed hall and Andrew was able to clarify some of the mystery of wine making and tasting. The hall was a buzz of interest and chat… a great evening was had by all.

Andrew is completing a PhD at Oxford University and has a paper out this week on ‘Seasonal weather impacts wine quality in Bordeaux’.
