We started the set up at 7.30 and by 9.00 the Stonesfield Gardening Club’s Plant Sale was almost ready for it’s first customers in the garden of The White Horse, Stonesfield. Club members’ greenhouses and poly tunnels, which had been full with seedlings growing strong, were now empty with everthing ready for the sale… over 2,000 plants at bargain prices.
And sure enough the crowds came to snap up bargains, chat in the sunshine and to enjoy a coffee in the pub, which had opened early (at 9.30).
By the end all the plants had gone and we had raised a record amount… nearly twice our previous best.
Our thanks go to all who
- grew and donated plants,
- set up and worked hard on the day
- came and bought our plants
Plus, of course, Craig for allowing the use of the White Horse garden and for opening early.
We look forward to doing it all again in 2027!
