Monday 14 November was an evening for the birds. We started with an introduction from Chrissie Harper to Ben, an Indian Eagle Owl. Ben was a reluctant star, slightly intimidated by the large audience after a quiet couple of years due to Covid. We all thought ourselves very fortunate to see him as, until days before, we thought that bird flu regulations would prevent his appearance.

Chrissie took the opportunity to say thank you to club members for their generous donation to her work, help by husband Phil.

Continuing the theme of the evening, Jane Ellis (l) introduced us to the work of Farmland Bird Aid. Genny Early (r) went into detail of the successes of the feeding programme and thanked the Stonesfield residents who currently volunteer with the winter feeding. Martin Gascoinge-Pees then showed us a selection of his many photographs of birds we might see locally. More information at
