Members of the Stonesfield Gardening Club and guests spent an enjoyable summer’s evening visiting the sustainable Chippy Flower Farm, close to Little Tew. The visit highlighted the beauty of pesticide-free, locally grown blooms.
Following drinks, we had a guided tour of the fields, which operates a ‘no-dig’ farming method. The farm offers Pick-Your-Own, as well as supplying bouquets, and runs a number of different flower-related workshops.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational evening that gave everyone plenty of inspiration to bring back to our own village borders and allotments.
