The sun shone and Stonesfield residents turned en-mass out to enjoy our April Plant Sale. As usual the queues started before 8.30. Fortunately we were very organised and ready on time so the sale opens slightly early to accommodate this rush.
The first hour saw a huge number of residents who wanted to ensure that they had the best choice of plants. Thereafter there was a steady stream of visitors until we closed at 11 o’clock by which time almost everything had gone.
The committee would like to thank Will and Sybil for allowing us to use their front garden for this village institution. Our thanks also go out to everyone who grew and donated plants, plus all those who helped set up and run the event. All this work raised over £750.
We look forward to repeating this success in 2024.
