The Memorial Garden looks great to commemorate VE Day… all done by the Gardening Club’s group.
They had made the knitted poppy tribute, planted up the front bed in a simple way with red geraniums and added a few plants to the black summer planters (several of the plants in them have survived a second winter and look good).
They don’t usually risk planting out so early but with the amazing weather they have been able to do this.
They plan to plant up the rest of the borders at the end of May.
